If you want to produce or direct a successful Thai soap opera here is what you will need;
Gather 5 males and 5 females who have recently had plastic surgery to enlarge their noses. Ensure that all can yell at the top of their lungs, the women in shrill voices, and are able to cry on demand. Toss in a couple of cute, rich kids that are spoiled rotten and get what they want by stomping their feet and holding their breath. Add a transvestite or two for some comedy relief. Make sure that they are flamboyant, over exaggerate everything.
Ensure that your plots involve cheating, back-stabbing, lying, getting drunk, shady business deals, gun fights, stealing, and infidelity. Sign on about 50 companies and place their products everywhere on the set. They can be displayed as photos, in stores, kitchens and living rooms. Make these as blatant as possible.
No problem in your soap opera can be resolved through any form of communication other than yelling. Problem resolution is usually handled by fist fights or gun battles.
Cartoon slide whistles and other sound effects need to added to emphasize the already overly dramatic acting.
Your cast must be able to carry on conversations with themselves to further explain what is going on to the viewing audience. Add a couple of maids to your character roster using them as snoops and as the occasional minor wife.
If your ratings slip, bring back someone killed in an earlier episode as a ghost to haunt the main start. If no one has been killed, just add a couple of ghosts as Thai people are extremely superstitious.
This is a bit tongue in cheek, but Thai soap operas are the absolute worst display of what goes on in a Thai household. Granted, America soaps are not much better, but Thai men and women are mesmerized by these shows and they have absolutely no value other than relief from everyday problems.
I just wish that they would break from the stereotypes, have positive role models, and teach something of value. But then, no one would watch the TV shows in Thailand.

Top 10 Sci Fi Films
1. Blade Runner
Blade Runner follows policeman Rick Deckard, and the pursuit of four illegally cloned humans in a dystopian, futuristic Los Angeles. So many things make this movie the best: a brooding score, the "I've seen things..." polemic, and the iconic future LA cityscape all work to tell a gripping story.
2. 2001: A Space Odyssey
It achieved world-wide praise for its revolutionary special effects.
It had many brilliant moments: accurate simulations of space that are still unparalleled even with today's CGI, the characterization of Hal, the malevolent super-computer, and using classical music in the opening scene.
3. Star Wars
The film weaved themes of good warring with evil in a space opera setting. It used an all-encompassing "force" wielded for good or evil, adding a touch of mysticism not usually seen in sci-fi films. It was the first blockbuster, influencing sci-fi sagas for decades thereafter.
4. Alien
It was lauded for Gothic set design, terrifying Aliens, and heroic Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver. Alien also addresses themes of motherhood, and shows effective tension by showing long stretches of quiet followed by scenes of sheer terror.
5. Solaris
A compelling, tragic drama of a psychologist travelling to another planet to replace a scientist. Once he arrives, he meets secretive survivors... and his dead wife. Reality is replaced with the dreams of the planet's alien intelligence.
6. Terminator
Robots from the future send a cyborg back in time to assassinate a future human rebel's mother. It's a perfect piece of film-making in its genre, blending gripping action with intelligent time travel mechanics.
7. The Day the Earth Stood Still
In postwar America at the height of the Red Scare, an alien named Klaatu tries to convince the world's leaders to stop the rush towards nuclear destruction. It has excellent dramatic tension and a message of peace that was far ahead of its time.
8. War of the Worlds
HG Wells' tale of invaders from Mars of Earth was adapted into another cold war era movie. The idea that there could be life developed on different worlds which one would never recognise was a compelling idea for its time. The spare special effects only heightened the contrast between humans and the unknowable invaders.
9. The Matrix
Stylish clothes, martial arts action, and ground-breaking special effects combined to make a fresh spin on artificial intelligence enslaving humans. It also pioneered the use of "bullet time" sequences used worldwide today.
10. Close Encounters of the Third Kind
A tale of Richard Dreyfus' growing obsession with aliens against a backdrop of a mysterious governmental agency has given the core of sci-fi film lore ever since.

8 Reasons Paris Hilton is a Genius
Paris is widely regarded as the spoiled brat of millionaire parents who does nothing but party and shop. However, what the public should realize is that Paris has the world dancing on her command. She is in complete control of her life and every move she makes is geared towards creating a brand around herself. From this brand, she produces and successfully sells products, businesses, events and other ventures. She is a real genius with remarkable brilliance.
1. She started going to parties and enjoying them. A lot of people do this but she made sure everyone knew she was Paris Hilton and that she was partying off charts. She quickly established herself as the life of the party. Everyone just knew that if she goes to a bar, that bar is cool and people are going to have fun. In no time, bars were paying her half a million dollars to visit their club. The wonderful thing is that other people followed suit. She is a great investment.
2. When her sex video leaked out, the timing was perfect. It happened a week before her reality show went on air.
3. She made owning a dog so popular it suddenly became the standard of girlhood. It was so cool "her dog wrote a book" and then went missing the week the book was released.
4. Australia paid her $1 million to wave to a crowd and say "I love Australia". When she was asked why she loves Australia she said, "Because they paid me $1 million to wave to a crowd." Who wouldn't?
5. Her book was on New York Times bestseller list for more than a month. Who has done that? Grisham?
6. She wants people to think she's dumb. The more they think that, the more she earns.
7. On every endorsement deal she signs, the product triple its sales. In turn, she gets paid three times more. One clear example is Parlux Frangrances.
8. She has established herself as a real fashionista by being friends with all the top designers, appearing in different fashion shows, never wearing the same clothes twice, and by wearing pink often. After that, she launched her own fashion labels and put her name in almost every clothing and accessory piece you can think off. All of those have skyrocketing sales. Like that wasn't enough, she even launched a clothing line for dogs!
She has been open about the fact that she works hard. She is up by 6am to start doing things connected to earning money. I don't know why the world don't see how she has manipulated the world in her favor. As I've said, she's a genius.

Analog to Digital TV Converter Box
It has been more than a year since some of the older model televisions stopped picking up regular transmissions. The digital transition happened in February of 2009. This means that all television stations stopped broadcasting in analog and switched to digital. If you still have an analog television, you can still use it, however to use it you just have to go to through a couple more steps.
There is no need to invest in a brand new television because of the switch. If you still own an analog television and you do not have a cable or satellite box, you just need to get what is called a digital converter box. This is basically a box that filters everything and converts it to digital transmission instead of analog. These boxes are in stock in most electronic stores and other outlets.
Before the switch occurred, the government was offering a forty dollar coupon to help people purchase the digital box. You had to apply for the coupon by actually going to the electronic stores and filling in a form, which you then had to mail out. You could have also applied over the telephone or online.
There where thirty three million coupons available and each household was allowed to apply for only two. These coupons had an expiration of ninety days at which time they would expire if they had not been used in that time period and reissued to someone else.
You could go to any retailer to redeem the coupon. Once you get the box it comes with the necessary cables and instructions. The setup process is a very easy process. The box comes with a remote and you simply plug in the cord from your antenna into your box, and then the cord from the box into your television. Lastly all you have to do is plug in the electrical cord and your box is ready to go.
